First Light portrays the iconic Lions of Vancouver, BC. covered with a layer of fresh winter snow and bathing in the first light of sunrise.

With this painting, I wanted to capture the beautiful yet fleeting colors of the alpine sunrises. From oranges, pinks and magentas, down to rich dark blues, I absolutely loved creating the range of colors that nature offers during these very special moments.
